Arsenal Reach Agreement With Arsene Wenger’s Replacement Following Liverpool Defeat

Arsenal have reached a verbal agreement with Massimiliano Allegri to take over from Arsene Wenger at the end of the season, according to reports.
Reports in the Sunday Express claim that the Gunners have been in contract with the Juventus manager for three months and he is expected to take charge of the North London side, once Arsene Wenger leaves at the end of the season.
Allegri has hinted in recent weeks that he might be joining Arsenal, when he admitted to have started English classes and refused to rule a move away from the Italian Champions, having helped them to multiple laurels in the Serie A.
Arsene Wenger’s woes were compounded by Liverpool on Saturday as they walloped the Gunners 3-1 at Anfield, sparking more outrage from fans who has called for the Frenchman’s resignation.
After the match, the 67-year-old did well to defend his decision not to start Alexis Sanchez, he said: ‘Everybody will come to the same conclusion but I’m strong enough and lucid enough to analyse the impact.
‘I don’t deny Alexis Sanchez is a great player. I bought him, I always played him and he has developed well. A decision like that is not easy to make but you always have to stand up.’
Sanchez has been linked to leave the Emirates during the next summer transfer window after getting frustrated at the lack of trophies with the Gunners.
