The Main Organising Committee (MOC) of the 2017
National Youth Games (NYC) on Monday announced that the games would hold in
Ilorin from Aug. 28 to Sept. 8.
The Chairman of the
MOC, AbdulRasak Salau, made this known in a statement signed by Mr Tolu
Makinde, the Director of Information, Ministry of Youth and Sports in Abuja.
Makinde quoted the MOC

He said that the
committee was already taking major steps to ensure a successful game.
Salau, who is the
acting Permanent Secretary in the ministry, said the 2017 committee of NYG
would hold its technical meeting on the games on March 16 in Ilorin.
He said delegates for
the meeting were expected in Ilorin on March 15.
“The meeting, which
will be presided by the chairman of MOC, will be attended by
members of the committee and directors of sports from all states of the federation,’’ he added.

He explained that the
meeting would deliberate on technical issues needed to achieve
smooth operation, organisation and success in the forthcoming games.
